On October 2nd, we participated in our yearly sponsorship of the Anoka County Pumpkin Weigh-Off! Our sponsored pumpkin came in at 1585 lbs… It was a blast! And on September 24th, our TCEC family participated in the Vision Walk 2022 at Lake Harriet! Check out some photos from the event.

Dr. Kanakamedala earned her bachelor’s degree from Duke University and her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. After an internship year at MacNeal Hospital, she completed her ophthalmology residency at Indiana University School of Medicine and served as chief resident her final year. North Suburban participated in the Vision Walk on Sunday September, 23rd. We had a team participate in the walk, and we also held a bake sale at each of our locations to raise money. Overall, we bake sale raised a total of $340 for retinal disease, our team raised a grand total of $1190!

Some members of our staff volunteered at Feed My Starving Children this past week. 104 boxes of food were packed over the entire shift, and our group packed 24 of those boxes! This food will be sent to those in need on the island of Haiti. Our Fun Friday committee is now working on coordinating volunteer outings for our staff to attend in the future.

Our Fun Friday committee celebrated Presidents’ Day today! They provided the favorite foods of various presidents, and also held a presidential trivia contest. The staff wore red, white and blue for the celebration as well.

Our Fun Friday Committee chose a healthy lifestyle theme for January. They have been posting fun facts about healthy eating throughout the clinic, and even provided a healthy breakfast for the staff. We also have been celebrating the Vikings today, and can’t wait to see them crush the Eagles on Sunday. SKOL!

The Fun Friday committee has been slowly collecting supplies to send care packages to our troops overseas. Today, we brought them to the post office to be sent out! We filled and sent 10 boxes worth of supplies! Thank you to all of those who have served and are currently serving!

This month, we set up the movie, “ELF” in the conference room and we had popcorn, candy, cookies, and hot chocolate for everyone to enjoy while watching.
