Dr. Kalil was born and raised in Williston, ND. He graduated from Williston High School in 1996 as the valedictorian of his class, He attended North Dakota State University and was a 3 year letter-winner on the Bison golf team. He graduated in 2000 with a degree in Zoology. He then went on to the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, from which he received his Doctor of Optometry degree in 2004.
Personal
Dr. Kalil worked for one year in Greenville, South Carolina before settling in Brookings, South Dakota for the next six years. He is an avid golfer and enjoys getting to as many Twins' and Timberwolves' games as he can.
